The Company has been established to conserve, protect, rehabilitate and improve the rivers, canals, watercourses, tributaries, lakes, neighbouring banks of Galway City for the advancement of environmental and cultural protection and for the benefit of the public; and to make Galway’s waterways part of city life. The company may also pursue other objects of general conservation, heritage, and history in Galway City.
